Guys I found this image on wowwiki today. Apparently there is a certain "safe zones" in the room that will allow players to be out of range of Shade's AOE silence but also be out of range of his AOE blizzard. This has never been discussed in our raids so I don;t know if anyone has ever tried it.

Here is a link that shows the zone when Shades is tanked in the middle of the room. Please keep in mind that this strategy becomes impossible to do correctly if he is not in the middle of the room.
